Summer's on it Way!

I'm convinced summer will soon be here.  Tulips have been blooming all over the Carbon Valley area.

To prepare for long hot days make sure your dog has plenty of water and plenty of shade.

I've also put out door hangers reminding customers to set their sprinklers to run before of after I've cleaned their yard.

We've been adding new clients this spring and have been working to keep up with our growing demand!  Thank you to all my clients giving out referrals!  My best advertising is word of mouth.  Also remember, I always give a week of free service for referrals.

Happy Summer, Dawn

We're going Green!

Doggie Doodles Yard Cleaning Service is Going.....Green!

While green dog poop is not the strangest thing I've seen after 4 years in business, this is a different kind of green.  We're going eco-green.  As we all try to recycle more, waste less and be responsible for the paw prints we leave on the plant, my business is too.  I've been working on a plan for several months to be as responsible to the plant as I am to all the pets I serve.

Step one of my plan was greatly assisted by the "Cash for Clunkers" program.  I have a brand new shiny Chevy truck.  It should get 5-8 more miles per gallon of gas and it's certified clean emissions by the powers that be.  And it's quite.  You probably won't hear me coming 3 blocks away!

Step two involves using "Green" products and less non-renewable products over all.  Over the next few months, I will transition into paperless billing.  Reducing the number of paper invoices, envelopes and print cartridges by about 85%.  This is my estimate.  I do hope to be 100% paperless by year end.  I will also be using environmentally friendly supplies including bio-degrable trash bags, paper towels, and cleaning products.

Step three is a bit more tricky.  I'm working on a plan to eliminate the dog waste that goes to the landfill.  I've been in contact this an Aurora based company that turns poop into compost.  I'm just waiting for the green light from them to be able to drop off all my scoops.

That's it.  Green and simple.  Dawn
